I love this classic. Fun fact "Autumn Leaves" is a much-recorded popular song. Originally it was a 1945 French song "Les feuilles mortes" (literally "The Dead Leaves") with music by Hungarian-French composer Joseph Kosma and lyrics by poet Jacques Prévert.

Coming from a small town community where addiction and alcoholism can be very visible, this song really struck me when I first heard it. I wanted to sing it and share it. Mary Gauthier is a songwriting genius and also a fascinating live performer. The Strombo Show presented an International Women's Day Special on Sunday, March 5 on CBC Radio 2.
